9:15 AM - 10:15 AM    Body Sculpt - Body Sculpting (Mon)
Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Each week your child will create their own masterpiece, using a wide variety of exciting art materials.  Experimenting with colors and textures will allow them the opportunity for self-expression and the ability to use their imagination!  They will also work on developing fine mother skills, and the ability to listen and follow directions...all while having fun and getting a little messy!ELVES' WORKSHOP - The Pfaff Center will be turned into an Elves' workshop this November and December!  Each week your child will make a take-home, handmade gift that they can give to someone special this Holiday Season!Instructed by Summer Discovery Specialist Ana Conneely! Parent/Guardian must stay for class if child is not potty trained!

We will be turning the Pfaff Center into a gift workshop this November and December!  Each week your child will make, and take home, a handmade gift that they can give to someone special this Holiday Season! Classes led by Instructor Ana Conneely

Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba offers a fast-paced, high-energy cardio workout. Each session features a fusion of Latin and international music with easy-to-follow routines and dynamic combinations. Tone your body while burning calories. Getting in shape has never been so much fun.

Have some fun on the half-days with some Holiday Fun!  Cheese pizza from Royal pizza will be served for lunch, followed by an afternoon of creative Christmas cookie decorating that will dazzle Santa and make your house his favorite this year!Classes led by instructor Ana Conneely

Martial Arts provide youth the tools today to succeed tomorrow. This program provides fitness and life skills through martial arts instruction. Build confidence, increase concentration and develop self-discipline in a safe and engaging environment. 
 
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Step Aerobics - Step Aerobics (Tue)
A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

We are excited to be able to offer this spinoff of Miss Jen's class from the past couple of years. We are sad she could no longer lead the class, but excited to have a new instructor step in to continue the program!Miss Maureen will be offering the class on WEDNESDAYS. She is a former elementary educator and a mom to two boys in the Medfield school system!Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

4:00 PM - 4:45 PM    Basketball Class (Pre-K and Kindergarten) - Basketball Class
The emphasis of this class is to have fun and develop the basic skills of basketball. The class is designed to provide each child with the skills they will need to move along in their basketball endeavors, including dribbling, passing and shooting.Coach Kevin and Coach Brian will lead our young basketball stars through a variety of fun games, skills and drills. The Main Hall of the Pfaff will turn into our own Boston Garden! Class is open to any kids in Pre-K or Kindergarten, or that are at least 4 years old. Please note this is a class, not a league.

Awaken your body and spirit in a class with flowing movements set to music for adults. Each week offers a combination of poses designed to enhance your strength, flexibility, and release stress.

Join fellow table tennis players from Medfield and surrounding communities for some friendly competition.  This fun drop-in program is designed to provide competitive table tennis action for adults who want to improve their knowledge and skills of the game. The program follows U.S.T.T.A. and the International Table Tennis Federation rules. Please bring your own table tennis paddle and wear comfortable clothing; please no black soled shoes. Introduce your youngster to a multitude of sports in classes taught by the professionals of STEEL SPORTS (Formerly John Smith Sports)Early Fall and Spring classes are held outdoors at McCarthy Park.  If there is inclement weather, class will run from 10:30-11:15 at the Pfaff Center!  NOVEMBER/WINTER SESSIONS will run indoors @ The Pfaff Center

Get dramatic with Drama Kids of Metrowest!   Drama Kids highly trained teachers motivate and inspire the students to become articulate communicators through enthusiastic participation in a wide range of creative activities including speech, creative movement, improvisation, and scene work.  This school-year program culminates in a special Production of an Original Play written specifically for each level of Drama Kids. Students can join Drama Kids at any time throughout the year!!

Get dramatic with Drama Kids of Metrowest!   Drama Kids highly trained teachers motivate and inspire the students to become articulate communicators through enthusiastic participation in a wide range of creative activities including speech, creative movement, improvisation, and scene work.  This school-year program culminates in a special Production of an Original Play written specifically for each level of Drama Kids. 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM    Kidz Night Out - December - Polar Express
This program is designed for children ages 4+.  ***This is not a drop-in program - Kids must be registered to attend***Feel free to have your child come dressed in pajamas with a blanket or sleeping bag. Price includes: pizza, drink, and an ice cream sundae.  Pizza will be from Royal Pizza on Main St., Medfield. Please be sure that your child can easily transition from pizza to a quiet movie.   This is a monthly event, and the movie changes each month!   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO NOT DELAY IN REGISTERING YOUR CHILD FOR MOVIE NIGHTS!  THEY HAVE BEEN SELLING OUT ON A MONTHLY BASIS!***Due to allergy concerns, please do not bring any outside food/snacks to this program unless cleared by Kevin or EricRegistration will close at 4:30pm on the day of the movie! There will be a HARD MAXIMUM of 80 kids for this program.We will contact you no later than 4:45 on the day of the movie if we are able to get your child in off of the waitlist.

Join instructor Ana Conneely for a Gingerbread House Decorating Party!     Each child will make and decorate their own gingerbread house with all kinds of fun and delicious goodies!  They will get to take home their creations to share with the whole family (hopefully)!ALLERGY NOTE: While none of the materials contain nuts, some of them were manufacture in a factory that does process nut products. LUNCH PROVIDED!  All participants will be given cheese pizza from Royal, as well as juice/water.

6:15 PM - 7:30 PM    Holiday Music Sing-A-Long with Stacey Peasley! - Holiday Music Sing-A-Long!
Join us at the Pfaff Center on Wednesday, December 18th, from 6:15-7:30  as we get into the holiday spirit!   We will have our music instructor, Stacey Peasley of Lucky Day Music Classes, here with a member of her band as they host an evening of holiday songs and celebration!  Stacey will be performing from 6:30-7:15, but everyone registered is welcome to come at 6:15 to enjoy some cheese pizza being served.  Pizza and a bottle of water are included in the cost of the program!   ALL KIDS that are able to walk must register!  Adults are NOT required to register for this program.  Additional slices of cheese pizza will be available for a small cash donation to the Medfield Food Cupboard.   Pre-Registration is required for this event.

Medfield Parks and Recreation is excited to offer a NEW PROGRAM during this year's December school vacation week for kids ages 8-12 years old!Vacation Game Club will run the following days, with single-day registration available for each day: Monday - 12/23* Tuesday - 12/24* Thursday - 12/26* Friday - 12/27* Monday - 12/30* Tuesday - 12/31*The program will run from 9am-1pm each day and will be hosted by our Summer Adventure Camp counselors!Participants can bring in their own games, pokemon cards, magic cards, or any other non-electronic games they would like to play, but we will have a variety of different games to play as well!  Kids will also have some time outside so long as the weather cooperates!*Please note that each day is subject to cancellation based on low registration.

Join Summer Discovery staff for some DECEMBER DISCOVERY fun!  Kids ages 4-8 are welcome to come for one, or all, of the days being offered!  The program is scheduled to run Monday, December 23rd through Tuesday, December 31st! Campers will enjoy various arts and crafts, and a variety of fun-fill activities as they experience a typical "half-day" at our Summer Discovery Camp.  This is a great way for kids to preview what our Summer Discovery Camp is like, and to enjoy some winter-themed fun with friends, new and old! Each half-day session will run from 9am until 1pm and all participants will need to bring a snack and lunch.** ALL KIDS WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: water bottle, snack, lunch, appropriate outdoor gear.Before/After care is NOT offered for this program

Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Experience two traditional forms of dance in one program. Participants enhance their coordination, balance and flexibility through introductory ballet. The tap component focuses on rhythm and counting. Both components of class work toward following directions, working with a group and acquiring skills necessary to perform in a group.

Using age appropri­ate equipment the class will enable your child to learn at their own pace while having a blast! Each class will be structured with stretching, learning a skill, rule of the day, skill game and finally a fun filled game for all to enjoy. Sneak­ers are required.PLEASE NOTE: Participants will not be able to swap between classes in the event you cannot attend the session you registered for.

Learn the basics in field hockey! All skill levels are welcome. We will explore the basic rules of the game, proper grips & posture, ball and stick control, tackling, receiving/trapping, passing and go through fun drills. Depending on class size, we will try to get some game action in as well!Required equipment includes a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. Class will be led by coach Lynne Malmquist, a former varsity field hockey player at Medfield High School.** Note -- Indoor sessions will be held at the Pfaff Center, 124 North St. Due to the size of the space, we will only be running an indoor session for grades K-1. This is an introduction to the sport, so no previous experience is required. --> SPRING 2020 dates will be posted in January. --> FALL 2020 LEAGUE INFORMATION SHOULD BE UP BEFORE THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!

A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.
