Join us at the Pfaff Center on Tuesday, December 18th, from 6:00-7:15  as we get into the holiday spirit!   We will have our music instructor, Stacey Peasley of Lucky Day Music Classes, here with a member of her band as they host an evening of holiday songs and celebration!  Stacey will be performing from 6:15-7:00, but everyone registered is welcome to come at 6:00 to enjoy some cheese pizza being served.  Pizza and a bottle of water are included in the cost of the program!   ALL KIDS that are able to walk must register!  Adults are NOT required to register for this program.  Additional slices of cheese pizza will be available for a small cash donation to the Medfield Food Cupboard.   Pre-Registration is required for this event.

Looking to extend your child’s Kindergarten experience? This is our SIXTH YEAR running this successful enrichment program for kids enrolled in the morning half day OR afternoon half day Kindergarten program!Join former elementary school teacher Maureen Dodge and Medfield Parks & Rec for an extended Kindergarten experience every week. When the school bell rings at Memorial, the day is not over! Your child will come to the Pfaff Center for an extended Kindergarten day filled with play and learning. NEW THIS YEAR: If your child takes part in the AFTERNOON KINDERGARTEN at Memorial, we've got you covered! You will drop your child off at the Pfaff Center on Tuesday mornings, and we will transport them to Memorial after our program is over for drop off. Once a week, your child will get the experience of a full day Kindergarten program!This will be an extension of the Kindergarten experience at Memorial. Activities will include everything from games to writing to numbers and more! Class is open to non-residents! A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

They must create their own marketing campaign and advertise to the other members of the city. They learn about fire, flood and disaster insurance and must decide whether it is worth spending on insurance for their own business. The business owners also meet as a city council and debate issues that could affect the city's business environment from parking meters to taxes to health care for workers to environmental regulations. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Experience two traditional forms of dance in one program. Participants enhance their coordination, balance and flexibility through introductory ballet. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

The emphasis of this class is to have fun and develop the basic skills of basketball. The class is designed to provide each child with the skills they will need to move along in their basketball endeavors, including dribbling, passing and shooting.Coach Kevin and Coach Brian will lead our young basketball stars through a variety of fun games, skills and drills. The Main Hall of the Pfaff will turn into our own Boston Garden! Class is open to any kids in Pre-K or Kindergarten, or that are at least 4 years old. Please note this is a class, not a league.

NEW FOR FALL 2018 & WINTER 2019! Lets get creative with electricity!  In this class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments!  Weekly sessions consist of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronic project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors.   Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day.  Most class days will include a take-home project.

Have you ever wanted to learn to work with pastels?  Are you interested in creating seascapes or landscapes?  Join local artist Doug Keough for this 6-week session that will leave you all impressed with your own artistic abilities! Pastels are a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to create fine art!  We'll start with a blank piece of paper and, using artist grade dry pastels, create a beautiful landscape that will last forever.  In the course of this pastel painting, you'll develop blending and color mixing techniques, with no sketching and no tools at all!Please note: Each class is 90-minutes!ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED IN COST!

Have you always wanted to learn Anime sketching?  It's easier than you migh think!Participants will explore the history, and future of Anime-style art in this 6 week session held at the Pfaff Center.  Students will develop sketching, erasing, and blending skills while creating their own style in the genre.  They will be able to master the sketching of their favorite characters, or learn to develop their own!Bring your sample pictures, and ideas, and we'll get started!PLEASE NOTE: $25 MATERIALS FEE per person due at the first session.  This will cover all materials needed for the class, and will cover the expense of each participants "art box" they will receive at the end of the session.

Learn the basics in field hockey! All skill levels are welcome. We will explore the basic rules of the game, proper grips & posture, ball and stick control, tackling, receiving/trapping, passing and go through fun drills. Depending on class size, we will try to get some game action in as well!Required equipment includes a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. Class will be led by coach Lynne Malmquist, a former varsity field hockey player at Medfield High School.** Note -- Indoor sessions will be held at the Pfaff Center, 124 North St. Due to the size of the space, we will only be running an indoor session for grades 2-3. --> SPRING 2019 dates will be posted soon! --> FALL 2019 LEAGUE INFORMATION WILL BE UP ONCE CONFIRMED WITH THE LEAGUE!

9:15 AM - 10:15 AM    Body Sculpt - Body Sculpting (Fri)
Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Introduce your youngster to a multitude of sports in classes taught by the professionals of John Smith Sports.Early Fall and Spring classes are held outdoors at McCarthy Park.  If there is inclement weather, class will run from 10:30-11:15 at the Pfaff Center!  Current session is held INDOORS @ The Pfaff Center!

Experience two traditional forms of dance in one program. Participants enhance their coordination, balance and flexibility through introductory ballet. The tap component focuses on rhythm and counting. Both components of class work toward following directions, working with a group and acquiring skills necessary to perform in a group.

Drama Kids is in it's 8th year!   Drama Kids highly trained teachers motivate and inspire the students to become articulate communicators through enthusiastic participation in a wide range of creative activities including speech, creative movement, improvisation, and scene work.  This school-year program culminates in a special Production of an Original Play written specifically for each level of Drama Kids. KID'S NIGHT OUT -- PIZZA & A MOVIE!***This is not a drop-off program - Kids must be registered to attend* Registration will close at 4:30pm on the day of the movie.  Please call for any registrations after 4:30!There will be a HARD MAXIMUM of 80 kids for this programDO NOT DELAY IN REGISTERING YOUR CHILD FOR MOVIE NIGHTS!  THEY HAVE BEEN SELLING OUT ON A MONTHLY BASIS!Next Movie Night: 12/14Movie: Polar Express!"What’s for dinner?!"    Sound familiar? Here’s your chance to put those worries aside and send your kid(s) to the Pfaff Center for a fun night out with friends - while you enjoy a night out!    This program is designed for children ages 4+.  Pre-registration is required to attend this event.Feel free to have your child come dressed in pajamas with a blanket or sleeping bag. Price includes pizza, drink, and an ice cream sundae.  Pizza will be from Royal Pizza on Main St., Medfield. Please be sure that your child can easily transition from pizza to a quiet movie.   This is a monthly event, and the movie changes each month! Due to allergy concerns, please do not bring any outside food/snacks to this program

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

The emphasis of this class is to have fun and develop the basic skills of basketball. The class is designed to provide each child with the skills they will need to move along in their basketball endeavors, including dribbling, passing and shooting.Coach Kevin and Coach Brian will lead our young basketball stars through a variety of fun games, skills and drills. The Main Hall of the Pfaff will turn into our own Boston Garden! Class is open to any kids in Pre-K or Kindergarten, or that are at least 4 years old. Please note this is a class, not a league.

Knucklebones' Explorations engages both child and parent/guardian in exploring a vast array of creative movement and gross motor activities.  Each week your Knucklebones' coach will bring a plethora of activities creating a circuit of open play that will include soft climbers, hoppers, ball pit, climbing structure, push/pull toys, tents, tunnels, balancing equipment, scooters, balls, gymnastics shapes, and much more!Your coach will also lead a group activity to encourage participants to work together and provide social interaction.  Explorations will enhance gross and fine motor skills, hand/foot/eye coordination, balancing & walking, physical activity, and provide a whole lot of fun!

This is our SIXTH YEAR running this successful enrichment program for kids enrolled in the morning half day OR afternoon half day Kindergarten program!Join former elementary school teacher Maureen Dodge and Medfield Parks & Rec for an extended Kindergarten experience every week. When the school bell rings at Memorial, the day is not over! Your child will come to the Pfaff Center for an extended Kindergarten day filled with play and learning. NEW THIS YEAR: If your child takes part in the AFTERNOON KINDERGARTEN at Memorial, we've got you covered! You will drop your child off at the Pfaff Center on Tuesday mornings, and we will transport them to Memorial after our program is over for drop off. Once a week, your child will get the experience of a full day Kindergarten program!This will be an extension of the Kindergarten experience at Memorial. Activities will include everything from games to writing to numbers and more! Class is open to non-residents! NEW FOR FALL 2018 & WINTER 2019! Lets get creative with electricity!  In this class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments!  Weekly sessions consist of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronic project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors.   Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day.  Most class days will include a take-home project.

Join former Boston Celtics dancer Aly Pereira as she teaches the latest dance moves to the most popular music out right now!  Students will learn various dances to popular songs as the class incorporates choreography and different forms of freestyle movement.  At the end of the 8-week session, the children will have a short performance to show off their hard work!

A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

Have you ever wanted to learn to work with pastels?  Are you interested in creating seascapes or landscapes?  Join local artist Doug Keough for this 6-week session that will leave you all impressed with your own artistic abilities! Pastels are a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to create fine art!  We'll start with a blank piece of paper and, using artist grade dry pastels, create a beautiful landscape that will last forever.  In the course of this pastel painting, you'll develop blending and color mixing techniques, with no sketching and no tools at all!Please note: Each class is 90-minutes!ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED IN COST!

Have you always wanted to learn Anime sketching?  It's easier than you migh think!Participants will explore the history, and future of Anime-style art in this 6 week session held at the Pfaff Center.  Students will develop sketching, erasing, and blending skills while creating their own style in the genre.  They will be able to master the sketching of their favorite characters, or learn to develop their own!Bring your sample pictures, and ideas, and we'll get started!PLEASE NOTE: $25 MATERIALS FEE per person due at the first session.  This will cover all materials needed for the class, and will cover the expense of each participants "art box" they will receive at the end of the session.

Learn the basics in field hockey! All skill levels are welcome. We will explore the basic rules of the game, proper grips & posture, ball and stick control, tackling, receiving/trapping, passing and go through fun drills. Depending on class size, we will try to get some game action in as well!Required equipment includes a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. Class will be led by coach Lynne Malmquist, a former varsity field hockey player at Medfield High School.** Note -- Indoor sessions will be held at the Pfaff Center, 124 North St. Due to the size of the space, we will only be running an indoor session for grades 2-3. --> SPRING 2019 dates will be posted soon! --> FALL 2019 LEAGUE INFORMATION WILL BE UP ONCE CONFIRMED WITH THE LEAGUE!
