Which Test is Right for My Son/Daughter?  
If you are considering enrolling your son or daughter, but confused about which test better suits him or her, contact the instructor via email at ellyloeser@gmail.com. She will be happy to discuss the differences and describe why certain students respond better to one test or the other.

Register for both the SAT Math and Verbal for $500 (A savings of $100)

SAT Critical Reading and Writing
This class focuses on SAT test-taking strategies, verbal reasoning skills, grammar concepts, essay writing and time management. Students should bring pencils, paper and a copy of the College Board’s “The Official SAT Study Guide, 2nd Edition”  0874478529  978-0874478525  available online at http://tinyurl.com/k2k7kda and at local bookstores. Additional materials provided by the instructor. 


SAT Math
This class reviews topics that are covered on the SAT Math from pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and statistics. Additionally, students will learn strategies and practice responding to the reasoning-type questions that cause students to label the test “tricky.”  Please bring a calculator, pencil, paper College Board’s “The Official SAT Study Guide, 2nd Edition”   0874478529  978-0874478525  available online at http://tinyurl.com/k2k7kda and at local bookstores.  Additional materials provided by the instructor.  



ACT
This program provides 16 hours of instruction in orientation to the test, essay writing strategies, and instruction in all four test areas: English grammar, math, reading and science. Students take official, retired ACT practice tests to determine strengths and weaknesses and to record score improvements.  Students should bring a calculator, paper and pencil, and a copy of the “Real ACT Prep Guide 3rd  Edition (available online at http://tinyurl.com/lf2tbth and at local bookstores). Additional materials provided by the instructor.  


General Information
About the Instructor
For the past 9 years, Elly Loeser has been helping students in the Medfield area prepare for standardized tests with one-on-one tutoring and small group classes. As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s school of education, and with a lifelong love of learning, she finds great pleasure in helping students feel confident, comfortable and successful. Students will be responsible for approximately 2 hours of homework per week.
